Fans Excited As Guns N' Roses Rocks Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Guns N' Roses reunion tour played Pittsburgh Tuesday night to the delight of about 45,000 fans who attended at Heinz Field.

Many of the fans never thought the band would get back together, and when they did, they knew they had to get a ticket.

Some people have favorite songs, for a variety of reasons.

"'Welcome To the Jungle,'" said Terry Rubek of Cranberry Township. "It starts off so many football games across the country in stadiums all over. I mean that's a premier song!"

But Jeanine Swanson, also of Cranberry Township, picked a different favorite.

"In 1989, when we were driving my son home from the hospital, 'Sweet Child O' Mine' was playing, and ever since then, Guns N' Roses was my favorite band," she said.

Bryan Winfrey, from Frederick, Maryland, says he saw Guns N' Roses in Washington DC, saw them here in Pittsburgh and will travel to Dallas to see them there, as well.

The last time Guns N' Roses played in Pittsburgh was 1998 at the Civic Arena.
