Lifeguard Saves Man's Life At Pool In Greenfield

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A lifeguard is being credited with saving a man from nearly drowning at a pool in Greenfield Tuesday afternoon.

The teenage lifeguard at the Magee Pool noticed the man slip beneath the water.

She, the head lifeguard, and two other people pulled the man out of the water, but he was unresponsive.

They were about to do CPR when the man started to cough and regained consciousness.

"The lifeguard came over, jumped in the water, yanked him out of there and he put him over to the side," said Colin Wynn, a witness. "She called the ambulance, 911. She tried to give him CPR, to give some life. He was choking on water and that."
