Police Investigating Body Found In Mon River

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Homicide detectives responded to the report of a body in the Monongahela River Thursday morning.

According to emergency officials, a body was spotted near the Fort Pitt Bridge around 8 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Elmer Rodgers, 51, of Wilkinsburg.

It is unclear if foul play was involved, but an autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

No other information has been released.
