Man Claims Girlfriend, 2 Others Kidnapped & Beat Him For A Week

MCCANDLESS (KDKA) -- Police are trying to track down three people accused of kidnapping a McCandless man, tying him up and beating him for a week.

According to a criminal complaint, the victim told officers he was walking home from a bar on East Ohio Street when he was knocked unconscious. He woke up tied to a chair inside his own home.

The man recognized the voice of his girlfriend of several years, Karrie Diaz, saying repeatedly, "You're going to have to kill him."

The victim told officers that two men, identified as Joshua Flick and Justin Keller, untied him from the chair and beat him on his head repeatedly, sometimes with a hammer, until he passed out. This reportedly went on for days.

Throughout the alleged kidnapping, the victim said he was fed a half-eaten cheeseburger and a can of Mountain Dew.

After attempting to escape by jumping from a third floor balcony, the victim convinced his alleged abductors to take him to Passavant Hospital. He first told staff he was jumped by five men, but after Diaz, Flick and Keller left, he told police about the kidnapping.

The victim suffered a broken pelvis, broken nose, chipped vertebrae, swollen eye and multiple bruises. He told officers that he has a $400,000 life insurance policy, and his girlfriend is the beneficiary.

While at the hospital, Diaz allegedly told the victim: "We could have had everything together."

Police are still searching for Diaz, Flick and Keller. They are all charged with kidnapping and attempted homicide.
