Market District Recipes: Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing & Basic Vinaigrette

Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing

  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp fresh herbs, minced (combination of parsley, dill, tarragon, chives, oregano)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 3/4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch sugar (optional)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Basic Vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp shallots, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh herbs (thyme, oregano or basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup oil

Mix all ingredients except the oil in a bowl until well combined. Slowly drizzle in the oil while whisking until fully incorporated.
