Netflix Series 'Mindhunter' Looking For Hundreds Of Extras

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Have you ever wanted to be a part of a TV show? A new Netflix series called "Mindhunter" is giving you the chance to be an extra.

The David Fincher crime drama, which will debut next year, has been filming around Pittsburgh since May and they plan on filming through December.

Casting director Jennifer Nash tells the "KDKA Morning News" they need hundreds of extras every week, and the next casting call is this Saturday.

"You can either email us or you can come to an open call this Saturday, Aug. 27 at 100 Fifth Avenue on the fifth floor," Nash said.

The casting call will be open from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Nash said if you want to email, you just have to send your picture and name to MHC.Pittsburgh@gmail.com

"You're not going to just be a body in a sea of bodies. You are going to be a detective in a 1970s outfit completely tailored to your body," Nash said.

Most extras will spend just one day on set, but Nash adds, "It will be a long day probably, [but] you will be fed like a king, the catering is amazing."

The crime-drama is produced by Charlize Theron and Fincher.

The series will focus on two FBI agents who were pioneers in behavioral profiling in the 1970s.
