Man Dies After Crafton Heights Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man who was critically injured in a shooting in Crafton Heights last week died Friday night.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office identified the victim as 25-year-old Domanek Cabbagestalk, of Brookline.

He was injured in a shooting on Aug. 31.

Officials say officers responded to the 1400-block of Steuben Street around 7:30 p.m. for reports that a man had been shot. Officers found Cabbagestalk on the front porch of a home. He had been shot in the chest and the leg. He was sent to Allegheny General Hospital.

The medical examiner's office says Cabbagestalk died just before 8 p.m. on Sept. 9. The manner was ruled a homicide.

According to the initial investigation, police believed Cabbagestalk was shot during an altercation at Woodlow Street and Cherry Court before he fled to Steuben Street.
