Police Searching For Missing 13-Year-Old Girl In Clarion

CLARION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are searching for a teenage girl in Clarion Township who has been missing since Friday evening.

State police say 13-year-old Shevy Lynn McGiffin left her home on Fraternity Drive in Clarion Township around 7:15 p.m. Friday to go to the store.

Around 10:20 a.m. Sunday, ExploreClarion.com reported that state police were still searching for her. The website also said a community gathering was to be held in the Clarion Area High School parking lot at noon.

Police describe McGiffin as 4-feet-8-inches tall with a chubby build. She is white and has blonde hair.

She was last seen Friday night near the Comet Food Warehouse and Dollar General on S. 5th Avenue. She was wearing a pink hoodie, pink shorts and black Nike sandals at the time.

Anyone who sees McGiffin or has any information regarding her whereabouts should contact state police at 814-226-1710.
