CBS Sports Analyst Boomer Esiason On Steelers/Bengals: 'It's Always Going To Be Intense'

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- NFL on CBS analyst and former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Booner Esiason joined the "Cook and Poni Show" to preview Sunday's Steelers-Bengals game.

This will be the first time the teams have met since last year's crazy Wild Card playoff game.

Esiason expects it to be an intense game at Heinz Field on Sunday.

"It's always going to be intense especially when the teams are good," Esiason said. "I think intense football is what, as football fans and as ex-players, we want to see. What we don't want to see is the idiocy of Vontaze Burfict and Joey Porter screaming and yelling at each other and being embarrassing."

Boomer said this will be a great matchup between two great teams that could come down to who has the ball last. He joked that he would not enjoy being a cornerback for either team trying to stop star wide receivers A.J. Green and Antonio Brown.

They also discussed how ugly and physical the three games played between these teams got last year.

As a result, many eyes on this game, but does that bring out the best or worst in pro football?

"A little of both" Esiason said. "We got our money's worth, but unfortunately as couple of guys lost their heads and it turned sour."
