Cops: Stabbing Suspect Bragged To Friend 'That's What I Do'

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Police say an eastern Pennsylvania man jailed on charges he stabbed a man outside a party bragged to a friend, "That's what I do."

The (Allentown) Morning Call says court documents show 26-year-old John Corniel, of Allentown, made the remarks to another guest after the incident early Sunday.

Corniel remained in the Lehigh County jail Thursday on assault charges and doesn't have an attorney.

The alleged victim tells police he and a woman were asked to leave the party following a disturbance, only to be confronted by Corniel and another man outside about 1:10 a.m. That's when police say Corniel used a kitchen knife to stab the man in the back, side and forearm. He's expected to recover.

Police say Corniel bragged after returning to the party and later confessed.
