MT. LEBANON (KDKA) -- A Keystone Oaks High School teacher is facing allegations of inappropriate behavior.

According to a release from The Keystone Oaks School District, officials have "become aware of allegations of inappropriate behavior between a teacher employed at Keystone Oaks High School and high school students."

The statement goes on to say that the District is cooperating with the Mt. Lebanon Police Department and other authorities as they conduct their investigations.

"The Keystone Oaks School District Administration and Board of School Directors' top priority is to protect students and provide a safe, secure environment for students to learn and grow. The district provided training to our staff on protocols related to inappropriate conduct with students at an in-service training prior to the start of the 2016-2017 school year."

Thursday night, some parents said they were just hearing about the allegations.

"Prior to today I heard nothing. About 5 minutes before I walked out the door my daughter had told me that something went on today and there was a letter sent out to parents. But she didn't give me any details and she was texting her friend but I left," said Mary Goslin.

Parent Matt McGuire told KDKA he is concerned and the notice should serve as a reminder for every parent to talk to their children.

"It's scary. I've got a daughter in the high school. It's bad news any time you see that kids are involved," he said.

No criminal charges have been filed.
