John Cena Leads Wheeling Crowd In Singing Of 'Country Roads'

WHEELING (KDKA) --- WWE superstar John Cena is known for pulling off some impressive feats of strength inside the squared circle. It turns out, he can also carry a tune.

The 15-time world champion led fans in a singing of "Country Roads" Monday night. The sing-along capped off a WWE live event at Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Moments earlier, Cena was silenced by WWE World Champion A.J. Styles. Styles used a low blow to gain the decisive advantage and pin Cena in a triple threat match, which also included former champion Dean Ambrose.

Moments after his defeat, Cena exacted his revenge. He leveled Styles, who remained motionless as Cena serenaded the crowd. Whatever damage Cena had suffered in the closing moments of his match was not evident in his singing.

Cena is no stranger to the world of music.

During his rise to prominence in WWE, he was an aspiring rapper and hip hop artist. His debut album "You Can't See Me" was heard for the first time in 2005. More recently, Cena collaborated with Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa on a pair of tracks for the WWE 2K15 video game.

While Cena's roots remain in rap, perhaps we'll see him lend his voice to country music once again in the future.
