Woman Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 14-Year-Old Girl

SMITH TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police in Washington County are investigating a woman for the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

According to the criminal complaint, 31-year-old Kimberly Seals lived in same apartment building in Langeloth as the girl and her mother.

Investigators say police were first called to the apartment by the girl's mother last month. She reported that her daughter had told her she wanted to harm herself.

The girl's mother told police she suspected possible inappropriate contact between her daughter and Seals, as well as alleged text messages.

The criminal complaint reports the girl told investigators she thought of Seals like a "big sister."

When police interviewed Seals, according to the criminal complaint, she admitted "that she did have sexual relations" with the girl.

Smith Township Police arrested Seals, but say they are not yet ready to talk about the case.
