Feds: Pooper Scooper Pretended To Be Secret Service Agent

PITTSBURGH (AP) - A man whose company scoops up pet poop has been charged with flashing a fake Secret Service identification card and badge when he was pulled over by a police officer, and to get the "government rate" for a hotel room.

Fifty-three-year-old Christopher Diiorio was arraigned Thursday on charges of conspiracy, using a false badge and a fraudulent official seal.

Reserve Township police say Diiorio flashed the ID card after an officer pulled him over for a faulty brake light on July 22. Police dropped their criminal charges once federal prosecutors took over the case. The feds also charged Diiorio with using the fake badge at a hotel in June.

Diiorio and his attorney didn't immediately respond to calls, emails and messages left with Doodle Scoopers, his Bethel Park business.
