Trump Or Clinton? Coach Tomlin, Other Pittsburgh Sports Figures Donate Money

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Many high profile sports figures have gotten involved in the 2016 Presidential Election by donating cash to their preferred candidate.

According to a list published by CBS Sports, while Donald Trump has received money and endorsements from sports figures, Clinton has dominated in terms of number of donations.

Clinton has donations from some high-profile sports names, including boxing legend Muhammad Ali (prior to his death), Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Hank Aaron, ex-New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and tennis legend Billie Jean King.

As for local sports, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, former Steelers running back Franco Harris and Penguins CEO David Morehouse have all donated to Clinton.

Tomlin gave the most money of the Pittsburgh sports figures backing Clinton: $2,700.

As for Trump, Houston Texans owner and Republican super donor Bob McNair gave $254,600. Additionally, the New York Jets' Woody Johnson donated $100,000 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Edward Glazer offered up $55,400.
