Watch: Man Pokes Sleeping Panda In Zoo, Gets Wrestled Down

JIANGXI, China (KDKA) -- A tourist was caught on camera breaking into a giant panda's enclosure at a zoo in China, and the animal didn't take too kindly to his intrusion.

The People's Daily China newspaper reports that the incident happened at Nanchang Zoo in southeast China's Jiangxi province on Thursday.

Apparently the man was with two female companions when he somehow snuck into the giant panda enclosure. In a video, the man can be seen tapping the panda on the head and then being wrestled to the ground by the animal.

The two struggled for a few minutes before the man was able to run away.

The People's Daily reports neither man nor bear were injured in the encounter.

Chen reportedly said afterwards he was trying to impress the girls he was accompanying on the tour by "teasing" the giant panda.
