Police, SWAT Team Converge In Stanton Heights After Shooting Incident

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police and the SWAT team were called to the city's Stanton Heights section this afternoon over reports of gunfire.

According to officials, two men were reportedly shooting at each other in the back of a home in the 4200-block of Upview Terrace, which is just off of Stanton Avenue.

The SWAT team searched the home from the basement to the second floor, but no one was found inside.

However, investigators say they did find a blood trail.

"We did find a blood trail, but at this point we have not found any victims or any actors in this incident," said Pittsburgh Public Safety Department spokesperson Emily Schaffer.

KDKA's Ralph Iannotti: "What are you looking for at this point?"

Schaffer: "At this point, we don't have a really good suspect description. We're going to continue this investigation. Any possible suspect descriptions we will relay out."

Iannotti: "How about a vehicle?"

Schaffer: "There is a tan vehicle seen possibly leaving the scene that may be involved in this."

Four people were taken away from the scene in handcuffs.

They were detained and questioned, but so far no arrests have been made.

Police cleared the scene around 6 p.m., but are continuing the investigation.
