Canadian Cops: Drive Drunk, Be Prepared For Nickelback Punishment

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – With the holiday season upon us, many will be attending parties or other social gatherings.

It's also the time of year when police issue reminders about safe ways to get home if you've had too much to drink.

One police department in Canada has issued a tongue-in-cheek warning for those who choose to drink and drive.

According to the Kensington Police Service Facebook page, anyone caught drinking and driving will be forced to listen to a few lullabies by Nickelback while being taken to jail.

"And when we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a year's driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the office's copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail," the post said.

So, if you're "Feeling Way Too Damn Good," after going "Bottoms Up," be prepared for the consequences after the cops ask you to "Breathe."

"Now, now, no need to thank us, we figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you," the Facebook post said.

In addition to having your "Photograph" taken, we can only imagine anyone subjected to this treatment will be saying "Never Again."
