Pirates' Tyler Glasnow Shows Off Between-The-Legs Dunk

Ryan Mayer

MLB pitchers can often be overlooked as athletes. Starters pitch once every five days, relievers only pitch in certain situations for shorter amounts of time, and, generally, we don't get to see them show of their athleticism in the field or on the basepaths the same way that other players do. Due to these factors, we tend to underrate their athleticism.

The same cannot be said for Pirates pitcher Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow is listed at 6'8" and 220 pounds and, based on this video that he posted to Twitter last night, is every bit as athletic as he looks.

Yep, that's him throwing down a between-the-legs dunk with absolute ease. Yes, Glasnow is 6'8", but just because he's tall doesn't necessarily mean you would expect him to have the vertical and coordination to pull something like this off. May you never doubt the athleticism of starting pitchers again.
