Steelers Team Headlines: Steelers Could Be Flexed Off Sunday Night Football Week 15

By Danny Cox

It has been a season of severe highs and extreme lows and it isn't over yet. While the Pittsburgh Steelers will be doing their best to secure a playoff spot, it might not be under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football in two weeks. The NFL is considering flexing the Steelers Week 15 game to an earlier time to make room for two teams that are both fighting for a playoff birth.

Steelers and Bengals Could Be Flexed From Sunday Night Football

In two weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers will face off against the Cincinnati Bengals in a bitter rivalry game. The Week 15 game was marked on the NFL calendar as a game that was expected to be a prequel to the playoffs. However, the Bengals are dangerously close to being eliminated from the playoffs. The NFL is considering flexing out the Steelers in favor of the contests between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions or Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The NFL has not made a decision as of yet, but one should come soon.

Ben Roethlisberger Believes The Hall Of Fame Will Come Calling For Multiple QBs From The Class Of 2004

The NFL Draft class of 2004 is one that will go down in history as one of the best of all time, but how many Hall of Fame spots will come from it? If it were up to Ben Roethlisberger, obviously he'd be in there, but he also believes that he isn't the only quarterback from that class who should end up in the Hall of Fame.

While he truly hopes that he will be in it, he's pretty sure that he knows of two others who will end up in it too: Eli Manning and Philip Rivers. Between the three quarterbacks, they have more than 140,000 passing yards combined. There are also four Super Bowl rings spread among them, although Rivers is still without one. Roethlisberger and Manning each have two.

In the 2004 NFL Draft, they were the first three quarterbacks taken overall. Roethlisberger went 11th to the Steelers and everyone may remember the infamous situation where Manning was drafted first overall by the San Diego Chargers while Rivers was drafted fourth by the Giants. Following a few controversial moments and a trade later and the rest is history. Only time will tell if Roethlisberger's prediction will be right.
