Northview Heights Home Invasion Leads To 6 Arrests

NORTHVIEW HEIGHTS (KDKA) – A home invasion in Northview Heights led to the arrests of six men.

According to police, the incident happened in the 200 block of East Ohio street around 10:43 a.m. on Wednesday.

Two women told police that two men with guns forced their way inside their apartment. One of the women fled to a different area of the apartment with her 2-year-old son. The women and child were not harmed.

While on scene, police learned a man had been attacked on the street nearby. It was determined that he was attacked by the same two men involved in the home invasion.

Police were able to identify 25-year-old Dominique Rucker as one of the suspects. When officers caught up with him, they learned that he had just left a home in the 100 block of Hazlett Street.

When they went to the home, 27-year-old Dominique Reed-Graves answered the door. Officers noticed marijuana on a table with a young child sitting next to it.

Reed-Graves allegedly tried to shut the door and pushed one officer in the chest.

As he was being arrested, four men came upstairs and were detained while officers obtained a search warrant for the house.

Those four men have been identified as:

  • Jordan Gray, 18, of Troy Hill
  • Therreus Lindsey, 18, of Homewood
  • Damone Porter, 28, of Northview Heights
  • Zyshawn Johnson, 18, of Northview Heights

During a search of the home, police found four guns, more than six bricks of heroin, two bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several cell phones. One bag of marijuana was found in a child's bedroom.

"There were three small children in the home where the drugs and the guns were found. They were taken into custody by a family member, so they are safe at this point.  We are still reviewing the case to determine if any additional charges will be filed," said Emily Schaffer, Assistant Public Information Officer with Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.

All six men are facing felony charges for possession with intent to deliver. Rucker, Graves, Gray and Porter are all facing felony gun charges for being persons not to possess firearms.

"This was a very quick investigation. We are very glad that these guns and these drugs are off the street along with these six individuals," said Schaffer.

Pittsburgh police tell KDKA that while they are pleased several guns and drugs are off the street, one of the suspects in the home invasion is still at large. Police are asking anyone with any information to please contact Zone 1.
