Pittsburgh International Airmall Hosting Annual Holiday Open House

PITTSBURGH (News Radio 1020 KDKA) - Tomorrow, anyone can shop and stroll around the Airmall at Pittsburgh International Airport during the airport's third annual Open House.

Airport officials say don't worry if you didn't pre-register by Wednesday's deadline.

"Just bring a legal ID like a driver's license or passport to get a special security pass," spokeswoman Alyson Walls says.

Kids under 18 don't need the ID.

There will be live entertainment and deals for shoppers.

Shoppers can check-in on the third floor ticketing level next to the Delta Air Lines ticket counter.

"Most of the stores (in the Airmall) will be offering 20 percent sales, so folks will be able to pick up some interesting gifts," says Walls.

The Airmall features some stores that aren't found anywhere else in the regions, such as The PGA Tour Shop, Tumi, Zozo and Armani Jeans.

There's also a renovated kids' play area and Santa is available for pictures! An added plus - free parking in the Short Term Lot.

Walls also says it's a great opportunity for "airplane geeks" to come, relax, and just watch the planes takeoff and land from the Airside terminal.

Saturday's open house runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
