McKeesport Man Arrested For Allegedly Robbing, Assaulting Woman At Gunpoint

HILL DISTRICT (KDKA) -- A date took a dangerous turn in the Hill District on Monday night.

A woman claims a man she met robbed her, assaulted her, then threatened her with a gun.

According to Pittsburgh police, the woman told police the man forced her at gunpoint to perform a sexual act on him, and afterward, forced her to drive to an ATM to get money for him.

She also told police the two met about a month ago through a mutual friend, and was her who picked him up Monday night.

Clerks were startled in the Sunoco gas station at 2350 Centre Avenue in the Hill District when a woman walked in their employee entrance, shaken up and yelling for help.

A clerk called 911 and tells KDKA the woman said a man with a gun wanted to kill her and stole her cell phone.

When police arrived shortly after 8 p.m., the woman told them she met up with a man she knew as "Chris" about an hour before, and the two smoked some marijuana together before he started making sexual advances.

Police report the woman said the man pulled out a gun and forced her to perform a sexual act, then instructed her to drive to the Sunoco to take money out of the ATM to give to him.

Surveillance footage shows the woman getting out of her car to go inside for help. Shortly after, the man gets out of the passenger side and walks away.

After about 45 minutes on the scene, police arrested 20-year-old Jabril Moore, of McKeesport, when the woman saw him walking out of the Sunoco and shouted, "That's him."

A different woman told police she was Moore's girlfriend. She gave police permission to search her home, where they found a black BB gun.

Moore is charged with kidnapping, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, robbery and possessing an instrument of a crime.

Moore is being held at the Allegheny County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Dec. 12.
