Police Questioning Man In Alleged Duquesne Abduction
DUQUESNE (KDKA) -- The victim of an alleged abduction in Duquesne is safe and a man was taken in for questioning after police tracked down the suspected getaway vehicle on Monday evening.
Police called to the scene at the Hilltop Parkview Manor Apartments on Duquesne Place Drive late Monday afternoon over reports of a woman who was kidnapped at gunpoint.
Police were not the only first responders at the apartment complex. There was also a fire in the same complex as the reported abduction. One building was evacuated.
Police have not said whether there was a connection. They were handled as two separate incidents.
An "all-points" bulletin then went out for a cream-colored Lincoln Continental.
Police later stopped that vehicle on Susquehanna Street in Homewood.
The woman was unharmed, and the driver was taken to the Allegheny County Police station for questioning. KDKA is told that charges may be filed.
