PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police are mourning the passing of a retired K-9.

The Pittsburgh Police K-9 Unit Facebook page reported Wednesday afternoon that former K-9 Tim had passed away.

K-9 Tim served with the city for ten years, from 2003 to 2013, and police called him “an invaluable member of the K9 unit.”

Police extended their sympathies to Tim’s handler, Officer Richard Houck, and his family.
