Southwest To Offer Flights To Hawaii In 2018

HONOLULU (KDKA) -- Southwest Airlines will soon start to offer flights to Hawaii.

The company announced the news late Wednesday.

Service will start sometime in 2018. CBS News reports that Southwest is securing FAA approval to operate between the mainland and Hawaii.

Specific routes have not yet been announced, but Southwest says the first flights to Hawaii will leave from California.

CBS News says the airline may also offer flights between the Hawaiian islands.
