BUTLER (KDKA) - Police in Butler County are searching for a woman who is accused of intentionally running down another woman with an SUV.

Tashina Booher, 33, of Brady Township, is wanted on felony charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.

The steps at 604 New Castle Street in Butler are broken, and police say Booher is the reason why.

"The driver must been upset and accelerated towards her, and hit into her, and apparently, hit into a pair of steps at the house," Butler City Police Chief David Adam said.

Police say they believe Booher and another woman, Brandy Lane, got into an argument early Friday morning. According to investigators, Booher floored her Acura SUV, crushing Lane's leg as she was crushed into the steps.

"She was rammed right into the steps, she said by Tashina, and it broke her leg, her ankle," said witness Josh Norris.

Police say Booher then took off, and she has been on the run ever since. Meanwhile, Lane remains in the hospital. It's not clear yet what will happen to her leg.

Police believe the incident may be connected to a dispute over Norris, who is a friend to the women. He says it's time for Booher to turn herself in.

"This is a serious one. You might want to turn yourself in on this one; it's not one you can run from," said Norris.
