Report: Steelers' Todd Haley Suffers Hip Injury After Being Shoved At Local Bar

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley reportedly suffered a hip injury over the weekend, but is expected back at work this week.

Earlier Tuesday, the Steelers said Haley was injured in a fall on New Year's Eve. He was not at work today, but the Steelers went on to say that he would rejoin the team later this week.

Later in the day, the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Haley was shoved down outside a bar near Heinz Field after Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Sources say Haley suffered some kind of hip injury and the police have looked into the incident.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police said Haley's wife was reportedly involved in a minor scuffle at Tequila Cowboy. Both were reportedly escorted from the bar and no charges were filed.

Haley is in the final year of his contract with the Steelers.

The team says that Haley will be back later this week with the expectations of coaching in the division round game that takes place on Jan. 14 at Heinz Field.

Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette, with the Post-Gazette, tells the "KDKA Morning News" they have heard a mix of different reports on Haley's status.

"The police report said that he wasn't injured, the Steelers put out a statement [saying] that he was injured. They didn't say how seriously, but I've heard up to a broken hip," said Bouchette.
