53rd Academy Of Country Music Awards: The Complete List Of Nominees

(CBS News) -- On Thursday, Mar. 1, multimedia superstar and 16-time ACM Award® winner Reba McEntire went on CBS This Morning to announce the first crop of nominees for the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards™, which airs live on Sunday, Apr. 15 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access.

Plus, the "Fancy" crooner revealed she will be taking over emcee duties this year as host of the 53rd ACM Awards, which marks the country icon's 15th time hosting Country Music's Party Of The Year®. Then, nominees in more key 2018 ACM categories were announced by Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell.

In summary, Chris Stapleton leads the pack with eight nominations, Thomas Rhett follows with six, and Keith Urban and songwriter Shane McAnally are each up for awards in five different ACM categories.

Also worth noting is that Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris are each nominated for four awards, while Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and Midland are in the running for three nominations each. Finally, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill receive their first ACM nomination as Vocal Duo Of The Year.
