The Pitt Panthers continued preparations for Saturday’s game against the FIU Panthers in Miami. Redshirt sophomore Gabe Roberts and redshirt freshman Alex Officer divided time at center, and offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph suggested both will play in place Artie Rowell, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Boston College game. Rudolph said rotating centers is “a real possibility, and we wouldn’t be against it.”

Penn State football head coach James Franklin joins The Fan Morning Show
Following a win in Ireland, the Nittany Lions are back in University Park for the home opener against Akron at noon Saturday. James Franklin’s team was able to come back and beat Central Florida 26-24 on a Sam Ficken field goal.
Following a closer than predicted loss to number 2 Alabama, West Virginia’s home opener is Saturday against Towson at 7:30.
