With over five locations in the Pittsburgh area, you better believe this place is a winner—and not just for the adults. Sure, the menu is expansive, with dishes ranging from Fettuccine Bolognese to Eggplant Parmesan, but what's even better is what they have on hand for the little ones. While signature staples are on tap for the pickier eaters (chicken fingers and spaghetti), they also serve up more adventurous kid-friendly fare like ravioli formaggio and pasta alfredo. Plus, for only $6, kids can even make their own pizza – choosing up to three toppings. And, while they wait, kids can occupy themselves with activity sheets and crayons provided to help parents enjoy a relaxing meal.

You just can't say no to a place that counts these notable names as visitors: President Obama, Diners Drive-ins and Dives host Guy Fieri and Man v. Food's Adam Richman. But this place isn't just for the adults—in fact, many of their menu items cater to the young ones (and the young at heart). They've got an entire section of their menu devoted to just hotcakes and waffle sundaes, with decadent options like the Funky Monkey (double chocolate banana hotcakes, French vanilla, bananas, chocolate and caramel toppings). For parents with less of a sweet tooth, you've got too much to choose from (the Mixed Grill and the Famous Breakfast Burrito, just to name a couple). Come early, and if you're lucky, you may get a seat that overlooks the bustling kitchen area. The kids can watch their breakfast masterpieces being created right before their eyes.

Dave & Buster's features the typical kid's menu favorites, but food is probably the last thing on their minds when they step into this playground. This restaurant offers tons of fun games for kids and adults alike to play together for a fun family night out, ranging from sports games to racing ones. Even better, the adult menu is filled with classic favorites, such as ribs, burgers and various pastas. It may be hard to corral the kids in at this plate to eat, but bribing with games may be a good device here. Check out their website for eat and play deals that could end up saving you some cash.

There may be no better way to keep the kids at the dinner table than at Nakama, a Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. Take a seat at one of the hibachi tables, and watch the talented chefs put on a hibachi-style show right before your eyes and growling stomachs. Grab dinner at happy hour (4-6 p.m. on weekdays), and you'll get 20% off your hibachi dinner. There's also a great menu for kids with some pretty cool specialty drinks (virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris). The adult menu is large, offering delicious items such as scallops, chicken and the ultra-pricy Kobe strip steak.

This isn't your average run-of-the-mill restaurant. In fact, you and your family can enjoy a delicious dinner while setting out on a cruise, for a beautiful view of the city from the three rivers. There are several dates throughout the summer for this cruise, so be sure to book ahead of time to reserve your spot. The menu features spaghetti, baked mac & cheese, chicken marsala, salad, chocolate cake and more. There's something for everyone, and the best part is an entertaining magic show by Howard Mincone & Friends. If the delicious meal won't keep the kids occupied, the show will do the trick.
