Eric Hagman is The Fan’s evening update anchor and reporter. He marked his 30th year in Pittsburgh radio sports in 2012. Before joining KDKA in 2009, he was the sports director at KQV for 18 years.
He has 10 Golden Quill awards for excellence in sports reporting and is a 6-time winner of the AP’s Best Major Market Sportscast/Feature in Pennsylvania.
A northwestern Pa. native, Eric began preparing for his career by writing and announcing Major League Baseball updates for his classmates in 6th grade.
He later improved his delivery and journalistic skills at Penn State University.
The sports figures he most admires are Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson and Chuck Noll.
Eric and his wife, Mary Lou, live in Peters Township and have two sons. Arden is a middle school student, who spends much of his time at South Hills hockey rinks.
Nevin attends Bucknell and is a member of the Bison’s football team.
