He was previously a sportswriter for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review since 1995, including the past seven years as a columnist. He was on the Penguins’ beat from 1997-2002 and the West Virginia football beat before that. He covered Big East football for ESPN.com from 2005-07 and hosted Pittsburgh Game Day on Saturdays.
