Paul Rasmussen
Paul joined the KDKA news team in December 2006, co-anchoring the Afternoon News with Rose Ryan-Douglas. In January 2012, Paul started waking up early, anchoring newscasts on the Morning News with Larry Richert and John Shumway.
He’s a native of Great Falls, Montana, graduating from Great Falls High School. Paul’s early career included stints as a TV reporter in his hometown and as a disk jockey in Montana, North Dakota and Iowa. He then switched to the sales side of broadcasting working as a rep and in management in Montana, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania and Jackson, Tennessee.
He then returned to college, attending Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, Kentucky and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there that Paul was hired as a news anchor at WWL New Orleans. Before coming to Pittsburgh he hosted a morning news show and was a news director at WOKV and WQIK Jacksonville, Florida.
Paul is the winner of multiple awards including Best Newscast from AP in Louisiana, Florida and Pennsylvania.
