Trina Orlando

trinaorlando Trina OrlandoTrina Orlando joined the KDKA news team in August 2008 as the Westmoreland County Bureau Chief. She returned home to Pittsburgh from Erie, where she was the morning and noon anchor at WJET/WFXP.

Trina graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. While there, Trina was honored by the Broadcast Educators’ Association for her anchoring of a college newscast.

Since 2007, Trina has been active as a Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. She has also worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Northwestern Pennsylvania Autism Society.

Trina grew up in Westmoreland County and graduated from Mount Pleasant Area High School. She spent many summers taking classes at Saint Vincent College.

After three years in Los Angeles and three more in Erie, Trina is thrilled to be back covering her home turf.

When she’s not working, Trina enjoys vegetarian cooking, working out and visiting her friends around the country.
