911th Airlift Wing
As part of the Air Force reorganization the Pentagon announced today the 911th’s 7 C-130 cargo planes are going to be decommissioned leaving the Air Force Base without any planes.
On Thursday, Captain Clark’s remains passed through Pittsburgh International Airport before reaching his final resting place in his hometown of Emporium, Pa. Personnel from the 911th Airlift Wing, Air Force Reserve Command participated in the dignified transfer.
Being overseas in the military has plenty of hardships, but for two local servicemen, they missed the births of their children. However, there was a happy reunion Wednesday between the men, their wives and their newborns.
The sky will be filled with acrobatic aircrafts this weekend. The 10th annual Wings Over Pittsburgh Air Show takes place Saturday and Sunday at the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon Township.
