Acetaminophen, known commonly by brand name Tylenol, is in more than just Tylenol. It’s in NyQuil, Robitussin, Excedrin products and many others.
The study published today in the journal “Pediatrics” basically says, acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, can spark new cases of asthma and make existing cases worse.
If you look on a bottle of children’s acetaminophen, you’ll see the instructions for infants are pretty much non-existent. It only says to call your doctor.
