A local couple accused of concealing the death of their newborn baby appeared in court. The most serious charge of abuse of a corpse was dropped.
The parents of a five-week-old baby found dead in a Butler motel, were scheduled for a hearing Wednesday but concerns over their emotional state caused a delay.
The life of James Victor, Jr. spanned only five weeks. Three of those weeks were spent in a hospital because of his mother’s prenatal heroin addiction.
Police are investigating the death of a baby boy found at a motel in Butler Township. The baby’s body and his parents were found at the Super 8 Motel along Route 8, according to police.
