Bakery Square 2.0
Not exactly in unison but united nonetheless, developers and community leaders broke ground on a $120 million development on what was once the Reizenstein School on Penn Avenue in East Liberty.
Ground was broken on a new project in East Liberty Thursday morning. It’s called Bakery Square 2.0.
More economic development is coming to the east end of Pittsburgh. Walnut Capital, the developer that converted the old Nabisco Bakery on Penn Avenue into Bakery Square, is planning to expand across the street.
If a development group gets its way, Bakery Square in the East End could get a lot bigger.
