Best Ways To Celebrate Presidents Day In Pittsburgh

President’s Day has historically been about patriotism and celebratory eating. Originally a day to mark the birthday of America’s first President, George Washington, this holiday was changed in 1968 to include all great American Presidents and combine Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson who had their own days. Since the culmination of this significant holiday, President’s Day has been associated in celebration with other patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and Veteran’s Day. It is a day typically set aside to enjoy American activities. Here are a list of five ways to do just that in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
