The owners of a controversial strip club on Pittsburgh’s West End are seeking a liquor license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, but some say that license should be denied.
Since it opened a few months ago, Club Controversy has lived up to its name. The West Carson Street lap dance club has drawn perhaps more than its share of complaints.
Open just a week and Club Controversy is already living up to its name. The lap dance club faced opposition from Onala — the drug and alcohol recovery center next door — which says it’s already having problems with Controversy’s patrons.
Its name says it all. After a court fight that went all the way to the State Supreme Court, Club Controversy appears set to open – soon to be offering lap dances and other erotic entertainment to its clientele.
