The future of the 911th Airlift Wing in Moon Township looks bleak. It appears federal officials are not changing their stance about closing the base, which means the Pennsylvania Air Guard Refueling Wing is also expected to lose a number of jobs.

There was a change of command for the 171st Air Refueling Wing Sunday morning. The ceremony was held at the base in Findlay Township at 10 a.m. as Col. Anthony J. Carrelli took over as new commander. Several military dignitaries attended the ceremony.
