Between the Pirates game and Skyblast Saturday night and the Great Race on Sunday, a lot of people will be traveling into the city this weekend. However, it could be difficult reaching your destination with some big construction projects.
Waiting until after the morning rush hour, crews closed the Crosstown Boulevard Ramp Monday, but the closure is catching drivers by surprise. Drivers coming off the Veterans Bridge must take the Sixth Avenue or Seventh Avenue exit downtown.
There’s some good news for drivers. Officials with PennDOT say they will delay work on the ramp from Crosstown Boulevard to the Boulevard of the Allies until after the morning rush hour.
