Marlins Complete Season Sweep As Pirates Lose 4-1

The Florida Marlins finished off both a three-game sweep and a season sweep of the Pirates with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon at PNC Park. The Pirates have also now moved within two losses of clinching their 19th straight losing season.

It was another long night over at PNC Park on Saturday as the Florida Marlins’ Anibal Sanchez pitched a one-hitter and the Pirates lost 3-0. The only thing that stood between Sanchez (8-7) and the second no-hitter of his six-year career was Neil Walker’s one-out single to left field in the third inning.
