LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — West Virginia made an NFL stadium its home for a day and put up numbers that would be the envy of any pro offense, marching quickly to score on its first four possessions and piling up 569 yards Saturday in a 42-12 win over James Madison.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Geno Smith threw for 323 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 11 West Virginia to a 69-34 win over Marshall on Saturday in the Mountaineers’ highest-scoring season opener in school history.
