One person is dead following a violent crash involving a tractor trailer and a jeep this morning in Washington County.

Nicholas Marini got a call from his girlfriend over the weekend. Her car broke down across town and he picked her up. It was 1 a.m. before the tow truck brought her Jeep Cherokee outside a repair shop near his house.
Penn Hills Police Chief Howard Burton said Monday the chase of that stolen Jeep on the Parkway East in Churchill late Sunday only lasted about a minute. Burton said his officers terminated the chase quickly because the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was speeding and driving erratically.

Pittsburgh police expect to file charges soon in a hit-and-run accident that critically injured a cyclist in Lawrenceville. Authorities took the wrecked black Jeep into custody after they received a call from the suspected driver.
A woman was seriously injured when her vehicle collided with a garbage truck this morning in Mount Lebanon. The Mount Lebanon Police Department is investigating the accident that happened just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of Cochran Road and Osage Road.
