The Carnegie police chief is stepping down after nearly 40 years of service.
There are concerns in Carnegie after a leaking tanker forced evacuations and closed a road for hours. “Extremely disruptive,” Carnegie Mayor Jack Kobistek said. “Traffic – there was no easy flow of traffic to get onto 79. Most people didn’t even know what had happened.”

At the Carnegie Exxon station, owner Tom Snyder says business has been on the slow side. Business is down according to Snyder because the volunteer fire department has closed down an access street for its annual Christmas tree sale, which the firefighters say is necessary for them to stay in operation.
