Work on the Veterans Bridge is expected to impact rush hour. Two of the lanes on the bridge northbound will close overnight for resurfacing work, leaving just one open for morning traffic.
The so-called “bathtub” section of the Parkway East will be closed this weekend for roadwork. “Essentially from the Grant Street off-ramp to the Fort Pitt Bridge approaches,” PennDOT District 11 spokesman Jim Struzzi said.

A busy bridge in Beaver County is closing next month. Most of the traffic will be detoured to the Sewickley Bridge as PennDOT begins a project on the Ambridge-Aliquippa Bridge in March.
PennDOT officials say a landslide has now been cleared and all lanes of the Parkway East have now been reopened to traffic. The slide happened around 9:30 a.m. near the entrance to the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.
