By a 2-to-1 partisan vote, the Allegheny County Board of Elections authorized the county solicitor to file a lawsuit to stop the state’s new voter photo identification law.

Led by Allegheny County councilman John DeFazio who chairs the County Elections Board, that board is expected to file a lawsuit to block the state’s new voter photo ID law.
