The bottom line is the Flyers own the Penguins right now. I said before this started that the Pens can’t win a series that goes seven games against the Flyers. And the odds of Pittsburgh winning four of the next five are very slim.
Thanks to the quick start and gutsy performance of players like Max Talbot, Tyler Kennedy and a steady net presence by Marc-Andry Fleury for a much needed Game 3 win, the Pens find themselve just two more like it away from a date with the second round of Lord Stanley’s playoffs.
Despite the losses of their two best offensive stars, along with a small army of additional players, the Penguins continue to play steady hockey as they chase down the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Ray Shero is not sitting around twittling his thumbs as players drop like flies due to injury. Shero is making moves to strengthen his hockey team for the upcoming playoff run and that should make hockey fans happy.
Here’s to the Steelers locking up a 1st round by for the upcoming NFL playoffs. This team could use some added rest, and getting a bye should help several players with just that, most notably Troy Polamalu.
